I'M ON MY WHEELS!
Weeeee!
Is it a dream? No. It's not! It's seems so real to be true!
I'm going to mark this day, 27 July 2007, 1 month after my birthday, as my memorable day!
2 months ago, I was nervously at t he waiting room, waiting for my name to be called out and ballot for the tester. God played a fool with me. It rained and I was panic. The word 'Gan Cheong' kept whinning in my mind, though I tried very hard to stay calm. Maybe I wasn't 100% ready to take the test though I was technically ready. Failed was for sure after the test, and I prayed hard that unlucky things won't repeat again.
2 months later, I was mentally and technically ready for the test, God played with me again. It rained! I cried to my instructor, he consoled me not to panic and very importantly not to be 'Gan Cheong'. It seems like the situation was very similar with the last test. The candidates were almost seated at the seats and left 2 seats. One was the seat that I sat last time and the one next to it. Supertitously, I did not want the same thing happened again, I chose the second seat. My heart pumped very fast, I closed my eyes and told myself, "God, please give me power to calm myself down." repeatly. At balloting time, I prayed hard not to get to get the tester I got last time. It's a different tester this time and I got route 2, the route that my instructor practiced with me alot of time at Bedok Reservoir Rd. My instructor always says:"U are lucky if you got this route and must drive properly cos it's your house area ah."
When it's time the testers came into the room and called the name of the candidates, My heart started pumping again. I looked outside the window hoping the rain could stop. When one of the tester with a stern face in dark glasses came in and shout our the name of his testee, everyone was shocked and started mumbling to one another, "Wah, so fierce ah. Scary man" I prayed for that testee.
While wating, I stayed cool and thought to myself," It's just a drive. Just treat it as normal driving like when taking lesson." my tester came in and call my name, I saw the tester looked quite friendly as he smiled to me, wah, this made me calmed alot man! I think tester should be more friendly to calm the testees from being nervous. A smile too make a lot of difference to us leh. Maybe it's this reason, I wasn't as nervous as before. That poor lady failed her test.
However, My car stalled right before I drove out of the parking lot. I said sorry with and apologetic expression and he smiled again (some kind of laughing at me lah). I took a deep breath and drove out of the parking lot and into the circuit. I tried to be attentive to the instructions given by the tester. I was blessed that I completed the circuit test without striking curb and major mistakes. My heart relieved when the tester instructed me to drive out dof the circuit to my balloted route. 'Heng Heng', although it was raining and quite heavy traffic, I managed to finish driving the tested route, but this route seems to be very long.
When I finally drove back to the centre. I quickly popped out of the car, following the tester to the room for my result. He ticked on the boxes of the checklist and wrote '16' on the demerit points section and ticked a 'Passed' 'YES!' I was overjoyed and I was directed to the video room to watch the 'Safety Road Driving' video clip. All the Passed candidates were gathered at the video room to watch the video and up to the 2nd floor counter to get our temperory driving liscence. The waiting time was very long and Eve & Xiaoling called to asked for my results. I happily announced that I Passed my TP!
After a whole morning event, I suddenly felt very hungry. I'm back home for lunch. And tonight, I went home and took a rest after the whole morning in nervouse mode.
I sms my buddies about this good news and they congrated me. The feeling of passing TP is soooooo shiok! It's more than shiok! It's an undescriable feeling. My lips just open wide and smile for the whole day when I thought to myself that I've got the driving licence.
Yeah! I can drive finally!

Hog's Breath & Dragonfly
Huimin asked us out for gathering cum Huimin's belated birthday on Friday nite. Cindy, Eve, Xiaoling, Huimin & Me met at Vivocity & went for dinner at Hog's Breath Restaurant. Wendy joined us later. Huimin was treated us this meal. This was the first time we went to Hog's Breath. So we too a long time to decide what to order. At last we decided to share the main courses & desserts as the portion seems very big.
We orderd three main courses and two deserts.
MAIN COURSES
Chicken Dijonnaise
Comes with grilled chicken breast with avocado and creamy Dijon mustard sauce and served with classic mashed potato and salad.
The chicken breast taste a little too dry, but we loved the mashed potato.
Finger Food Combo
Comes with a sampler plate of potato skins, Buffalo wings, crumbed chicken tenders, calamari served with a Lime Sweet Chilli sauce and Honey Mustard.
Grilled Rib Fillet
Served with baked potato, classic mashed potato or Hog Tail fries served with veggies in season. The sauce is a little bit too sweet.
DESSERTS
Mississippi Mud Cake
Mud Cake served with cream & ice cream. This taste nice
Banana Split
Served with cream & ice cream garnished with chocolate wafer. we chose strawberry topping.
After dinner, we went to Dragonfly. This was the 1st time I went to Dragonfly. It's a pub with live band & singers singing, English/Chinese/Cantonese songs. Sly was one of the singer there. I prefer Sly's singing among the rest. Maybe his singing style is more modern and hip.
