Eve invited us to her birthday celebration at Shokudo Japanes restaurant at Raffles City Shopping Centre on 29 April 2008. I have not heard of this restaurant before and I haven't been to Raffles City for ages and we nearly got lost at the basement. We nearly couldn't find the restaurant.
When we walked into the restaurant and look at the surrounding of the restaurant. It is the Japanese version of Marche. We were given a card each with maximum SGD100 charge limit to each card. We just need to hand over the card to the chef staff when ordering and we need to wait for about 5-10 mins for the food to be cooked.
The restaurant ambience is very Japanese. Overall, the food taste great. There were alot of food to choose from and every food looks so tasty that we couldn't decide which to choose from.
We love the pizza. The skin is very thin but the cheese is thick enough and delicious. What great about it is the pizza looked almost the same as the plastic food replicas.
BBQ Unagi Hot Plate, Cindy's must-eat dish. She was overjoyed when she passed by the stall.
Grilled Skewers
Yummy Yummy BBQ Japanese Satay, not only meat, wrap bacon with esparagus. Good balance and special.
The Gyoza
These Gyozas were pan fried not deep fried. Texture taste much more like Chinese crusine, 'jiao zhi'.
Fried Mushroom.
Eeee.... This dish looks familiar. Marche have those fried vegie/mushroom too.
At the end of the dinner, we surprised Eve with a birthday cake. Of course, we took pictures and our regular dessert is 'Gals' talk session' We chatted till nearly the restaurant's closing. Too bad it's not Friday and everyone gotta work tommorrow, we ended our session at about 10.45pm
